Grand Whiz Hotel Bromo

The staff were very nice, and the setting, WiFi and water pressure were adequate. It’s a good spot for a quick, safe stop in the area. Unfortunately, our villa was very damp, with no fan or air conditioning, and the doors didn’t close properly. There were ants and spiders inside, which our friends really didn’t appreciate.

The mountain view was breathtaking, the rooms spotless, and the beds very comfortable. From the warm welcome through to the delicious breakfast, service felt smooth and thoughtful. The whole team was kind and attentive, always ready with a smile. Special thanks to Ainin and Arif for making us feel so welcome. Our stay at Grand Whiz Hotel Bromo was truly unforgettable, and we can’t wait to come back!

Don’t stay here. It looks nice outside, but the rooms were the worst I’ve ever stayed in. There was mold in the bathroom and insects and bugs in the tub and sink. It looked like the room was never cleaned. I slept in my clothes on top of the covers. I had to ask to shower in the capsule area, which wasn’t bad. The staff were nice, but that didn’t make up for the gross room and lousy breakfast.

Seriously? This is just my opinion, but whoever owns this tired property should condemn it and start over. It doesn’t even have good bones, and I think it’s beyond saving. I don’t know where to begin. We checked out within minutes once we could get rooms at another hotel. I can’t tell which part got the high ratings, but if I could give this hotel zero, I would. It brought The Overlook Hotel (Stephen King's The Shining) to mind. The hotel isn’t just in bad shape. It’s in very bad shape.
