The villa sits among hills and rice fields, with Mount Agung in view, and the surroundings stayed with me long after I left. I’ve stayed in plenty of private beachfront villas, but I fell in love with this place. It’s quiet enough to hear only the wind and wild birds, with no artificial noise, and the nature feels like it’s all yours. At around 500 meters elevation, it’s pleasantly cool rather than tropical and hot, and it’s just under two hours from Denpasar Airport. The Indonesian food was a highlight: fresh local ingredients, delicious dishes, and honestly better than many three-star restaurants. The staff were kind, professional, and reassuring, so it was easy to relax in this completely private villa. I almost don’t want to tell people about it, but I can say nobody will regret coming.
