The location in the old town has lovely scenery, especially after rain, and there are lots of food options, mini markets, and coffee shops nearby. There's also a communal area for working, drinks, ready-to-go food, and affordable coffee. The bathrooms are clean, and the mosque is nice. I booked a single pod Sky Room, the upper version. The bed was really comfortable and I slept well, though getting up to it is a bit difficult. The amenities are very complete.

The location is convenient, near Semarang Tawang Station in Kota Tua. I was impressed by how well the room is arranged despite being compact, and the design is clever. I stayed in a Sky Room, though I'm not completely sure how it differs from Earth. I think Sky puts the bed above, while Earth has it on the lower level. The male and female guests have separate bathroom areas. Each has four rooms, two with showers and two with toilets, plus a sink area with a hair dryer. A towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, and shower soap are provided. There's a fairly spacious musholla too. You can't eat or smoke in the room, so those things have to be done outside. They sell snacks and some fast food you can heat up yourself, just remember to clean up afterward. WiFi is available, and the staff were humble and explained everything clearly to me as a first-time user. The barcode key system felt pretty futuristic. It was my first solo trip and first stay at Bobobox, and I give it 5/5 ⭐.

I've booked here twice, first a single Sky Pod and then a double Sky Pod. Both were very clean and cozy. I preferred having the double Sky cabin to myself for the extra comfort. It's simple but really relaxing, and I'd definitely recommend it for solo travel.

I picked this capsule pod hotel because it was cheap, close to the station, and I wanted to try it. It was comfortable and very good overall. Getting into the Sky Room bed takes some effort since there are no stairs, though luckily I'm tall and it wasn't a serious problem. I booked without breakfast, so I can't say what that's like. Snacks and drinks are sold at reception, and make sure you have QRIS. The AC is central, so in the room you can only adjust how much air comes in. There's a Bluetooth speaker for playing music from your device, and you can change the room light color. The bathroom and toilet are shared. I think it's very worth it.
