Cozy and Tidy Studio Apartment at 21st Floor Warhol (W/R) Residences By Travelio

The location and view are what we enjoy most about renting an apartment in WR Simpang Lima. We’ve been there since September 2019, right in the heart of Semarang with a lovely view of Simpang Lima itself. But the state of the building’s maintenance is a mess, and our complaints as tenants have been ignored, which is why we’re sharing our experience. The laundry is advertised as in-house, with three machines including a dryer for Rp50000, but two have been “under maintenance” since we arrived in September 2019. When we ask, we’re told the parts are still in Jakarta and will be back soon. Nobody seems to be getting them fixed. Residents who rent in WR automatically pay for the 23rd-floor recreation area, pool, and fitness facilities. Everything there is damaged and in very poor condition. The fake wooden flooring around the pool is rough on your feet and seems likely to cause injuries. The gym entrance is in such bad shape that opening the door normally is difficult. At the rooftop restaurant, curtains that should be white are black with dirt, which makes me wonder what the kitchen is like. People sometimes leave rubbish and cigarette butts all over the floor, even in non-smoking areas with ashtrays nearby. They ignore the rules and other people, while staff and management do nothing about it. The management has failed on maintenance in every respect. Saying there’s “no budget” doesn’t excuse how unacceptable the 23rd floor has become for a 3 or 4 star apartment complex or hotel.
