The community at Cordova Edupartment made my summer course at IPB especially memorable. I got to meet great people from places like Rwanda and my own Bangladesh, and the atmosphere felt welcoming, safe, and comfortable. It’s a supportive place for learning and cultural exchange, and I’d recommend it to international students looking to stay near IPB.

Residents who ask to bring in outside workers for repairs can be met with an unfriendly, hostile response, which makes an already frustrating situation worse. The management is poor at dealing with problems, and replies are often very slow or ineffective. Costs also feel unfairly inflated, sometimes three times or more for everything from repairs to utilities. It comes across as monopolistic, with little room to negotiate or choose alternatives. Taken together, the service, high prices, and management make dealing with Cordova Edupartment in Semarang very unpleasant.
