We paid a discounted IDR 126,000.- for a third-floor room, and there’s no elevator. The location is convenient, opposite Taman Tirto food court, beside an Alfamart, and not far from Atap Langit Garden Cafe. It’s a budget stay at Jl. Durian Raya, Srondol Wetan, Banyumanik District, Semarang City, Central Java Province, with clean rooms and a quiet atmosphere. The room had good AC, and the bathroom was clean and comfortable, with a basin and hot and cold shower. There’s roomy indoor parking for cars and motorbikes. You can phone in an order for simple food and drinks, including instant noodles, hot instant tea, and coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful, apart from the owner, though that didn’t bother us. The downsides were free TV channels with reception ranging from bad to good, slow free WiFi, and shower hot water that wasn’t steady.
