Gets Premiere Semarang

I came here on a field trip and really loved the place. The rooms were spacious, cool, clean, and not creepy at all. The staff were very helpful too.

It's easy to reach places to eat from this well located building. During my two day stay, though, only one staff member really looked after me, and the breakfast restaurant seemed understaffed. The tables were dirty, used plates sat around, and the fresh coffee station wasn't managed well. The restaurant staff looked tired and no one smiled at guests. The breakfast selection didn't feel good enough for a four star hotel, with no bacon or variety of meats. In the room, the lighting was gloomy and the bathroom was poorly lit. The water heater jug was dirty, and there was no dispenser for drinking water for my family and me. When we ran out of toilet paper, housekeeping didn't refill it, so I had to go down to reception. Housekeeping also didn't clean the desk or vacuum the carpet. The parking security didn't help us while we were parking.

I booked after seeing reviews on TikTok and Instagram. From a high floor, my room was clean and had a great city view. The pool was big and nice, the gym was clean, and the front desk staff were helpful. Those were the good parts of the hotel. Breakfast was a letdown. There were lots of options, but most of the food was already dry. The rice had hardened, as had the bread and cake, though the toaster helped with the bread. Chicken served with laksa noodles, porridge, and liwet rice was also dry and hard. Maybe the full blast air conditioning was a factor, or maybe it was because much of the food wasn't covered. Restaurant staff were very slow, empty plates piled up on tables, and empty dishes took a long time to be refilled. I stayed for the high floor view. Maybe I was just unlucky, or maybe this is how it usually is. I think it makes more sense to go out for local breakfast than pay extra for the hotel's buffet.

A really wonderful stay at Gets, with great service and a well maintained, hygienic place. The front desk manager ALAM was a wonderful help. I'd recommend Gets to people I know who are coming from India. Thanks to everyone, love you guys.
