Hotel Horison Nindya Semarang

The food was nice once it finally came, but the restaurant service was painfully slow. I was usually the only person there at night, and even a basic meal took ages. It happened at lunch too, every day.

This was my second stay, and the staff were great, from security to the waitresses. The room was spacious, neat, clean, and had no odd smell. There were lots of local and international TV channels, and the bathroom came with toothbrushes, toothpaste, body soap, and shampoo. In the morning they provided two Tong Tji tea bags, a well-known brand, for making hot tea. A really good stay.

Check-in took about 15 minutes because my connecting room wasn't ready. I had to accept a downgrade from deluxe to superior, with no refund. I asked whether the downgrade could instead come with an extra breakfast voucher, since the price was the same, but they wouldn't allow it.

Breakfast had some nice traditional dishes, and the room was clean and comfortable enough. The TV picture was clear with plenty of channels, and there was a hairdryer too. The swimming pool could use more space.
