We stayed in both a double room and a twin room. They were comfortable, the toilets were clean, and the wifi worked well. There’s no lift, just stairs across the three floors. A 50k deposit is required and can be collected at checkout. There’s a small cafe on the second floor, where hotel guests get breakfast each morning. We had fried rice with egg twice, plus coffee or tea and bread with jam.

The rooms are spacious and nicely finished, and the linen and towels were spotless and in great shape. The whole building is beautifully designed, with lovely decor and atmosphere, and it’s kept wonderfully clean and well maintained. Easy check-in, with friendly, helpful staff. Banana Cafė serves good food. Breakfast is the usual Indonesian spread of rice, noodles and chicken, with eggs made how you like, plus tea, coffee and fruit. If you’re okay with a short drive toward the foothills and don’t need to be in the city center, give it a try. I’d give the place six stars if I could.

My friend got a stomach ache, and the staff made him special bubur, brought tea and gave him stomach tablets to help him feel better. Great service. We were the only guests, and the staff were always friendly and helpful whenever we had questions or wanted to know about the area. I really enjoyed breakfast too. The food was good, and the coffee was very good.

A comfortable, quiet and clean homey inn in a strategic spot, with affordable room rates that include breakfast for two. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and breakfast was pretty good.
