Nomaden Urban Stay

Affordable and good, with a clean room that suits families on a tight budget. It's also close to the center of Semarang City.

The room area got too hot, and I didn't think there were air conditioners installed there. Our family room's AC might not be cool enough if you like a chilly room, though it suited me and my kids since I prefer it less cold. The lobby is unusual, and the place feels humble, more like a guesthouse to me. Past the lobby and restaurant are the rooms and stairs, with no elevator. The staff were very helpful and even offered to carry our things. For a short stay, the affordable room rate felt worthwhile.

I've liked staying here since my first visit, and now I come back when I'm in Semarang, with friends or family. The staff are kind and greet you with smiles. They keep the facilities in good shape, so they still feel like new. The room and bathroom are more spacious than what you'd get at other hotels for the same price. Food and drinks are sold here at reasonable prices, and you can walk to a range of food stalls nearby. Thanks, Nomaden Urban Stay.

Food stalls are within walking distance, and there's a minimarket with an ATM beside the homestay. The staff were friendly, and I'd likely come back next time I'm in Semarang. We stayed four days and three nights. The spacious, clean room had a comfortable bed, working AC and water heater, and a TV with lots of local channels. I liked the dresser that converts into a work desk, and the lamps could be set bright, dim, or off. The room was great for a family stay.
