The staff were nice, and there are plenty of restaurants and food stalls around the hotel. We got complimentary breakfast delivered to our room, spicy fried rice with tea or coffee, and there was also a free airport shuttle. When the driver wasn't available at our requested time, they let us stay an extra few hours. The price is very cheap for a local hotel near the airport, and our room was clean and tidy. I do wish they'd provided tea and coffee in the room, toilet tissue, and a bigger towel.

We arrived in Semarang and stayed at this hotel on our first night. We ordered Solaria and pizza there, then the next morning I went out for breakfast and had soto at Soto Kudus Mbak Lin. Those are such good memories.

The room was too small, and there wasn't any mineral water. We had to buy two different rooms. The TV worked at first, but then the screen broke up and I couldn't watch it.

For about Rp 230.000 a night, I felt this was worth the price. The room was clean, cozy, and spacious, with a double bed in the deluxe class. There's hot water and toilet amenities, plus a helpful, hospitable bellboy who carried my luggage. WiFi was good, around 600kbps-1Mbps. The hotel is near the airport and provides free pickup and drop-off, and breakfast is included. There are lots of street food options nearby, such as Suka Sambal Frenchise, Soto Ayam, Ayam geprek, nasi/mie goreng, and angkringan. Alfamart and Indomart are also close for daily essentials. It's far from Simpang lima, Kota lama, Lawang sewu, Paragon City Mall, and other tourist spots. Still, I'd absolutely stay at Gapura Residence again when transiting in Semarang.
