RedDoorz near Universitas Diponegoro

The things that kept this from being a one-star stay were the handy location, cool AC, warm water, and a friendly satpam. Those basics should be there anyway, though. I left really disappointed. I hadn’t stayed at Hello Hotel for a while after prices shot up under RedDoorz, and the higher cost now makes it somewhere I wouldn’t consider booking. There are newer, larger rooms than Hello Hotel had before it took the RedDoorz name, but the old rooms have also become very expensive. My family and I arrived to check in with our two children and were met by a strong smell of cigarette smoke. We had booked two rooms, but were initially given only one, and the receptionist seemed unsure how to handle the two-room booking. After we got them, the rooms were far apart and neither looked ready. Dirty pillows were on a plastic chair, the beds had no sheets, and there was just one towel. Despite a huge NO SMOKING IN ROOMS sign, the rooms smelled of cigarettes. We asked for rooms next to each other, but the receptionist again seemed confused and took a long time to sort it out. The replacement rooms were still missing amenities, and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was rubbish left by earlier visitors, and the wall had marks that looked like they might be from feet or shoes. Sitting on the bed, I could feel the sheets were a bit gritty and not clean. They smelled of perfume, but still didn’t seem properly fresh. The sign out front promises “spotless linen,” yet the sheets were covered in spots, sometimes large ones, and some had holes or tears.
