Somerset Queen City Semarang

Bodega All Day Dining was a highlight for me. It’s nicely designed, and even though it isn’t very big, it’s a relaxed place to spend time. My room was comfortable and still felt new, though one towel looked stained when I arrived, so the hotel could check its towels and other reusable items more carefully. I was in Semarang for business and found the central location really handy, with a well-equipped mall close by. Check-in was quick, the service was good, and the roomy car drop-off area made arrivals and pickups easy. I had a very comfortable stay overall.

Queen City Mall is just a short walk away, and Lunpia Mba Lin, Lunpia Semarang 24jam, and the Toby's estate coffee shop by the hotel lobby are also close. The location was very convenient. I booked two executive rooms, and both were clean and comfortable, bathrooms included. The receptionist who helped with my check-in and check-out on 28th-29th March was especially friendly and informative. It was a nice stay.

Breakfast was a letdown, with hardly any choices. The soap was nice, at least. Our room felt cozy, but its small size made it a little claustrophobic, and we got twin beds instead of the queen bed we had booked.

I’ve stayed here three times because the rooms are quite nice, but this visit left me frustrated. They acknowledged that they’d overcharged me last time and offered no compensation. I also asked to check in early and was told the hotel was full. When I asked if I could use the gym while I waited instead of just sitting around, they said I needed a key card. Being an ASR member feels almost useless.
