We thought the low price we booked on the OYO website was a great deal, but at check-in they said they didn't have the double bed I'd reserved and couldn't honor that rate. They wanted another 40% on top. The receptionist told me, “If I don’t do this I’ll lose my job”. The property owner said the same when I contacted her, and OYO told me there was nothing they could do. A nice, clean room doesn't make up for a lack of honesty and basic business principles. I'm incredibly disappointed in both the hotel management and OYO as a whole, and hope they become more transparent.

Even though we'd paid online, reception wouldn't let us into our room and wanted more money in cash. The manager told me on the phone that it wasn't her problem if we were homeless and we'd have to manage by ourselves. Staff didn't speak English and kept using TikTok instead of helping us. Shameful.

We'd booked and paid for the hotel, but when we arrived they refused to let us in and demanded a much higher amount. The owner was unpleasant, said it wasn't her problem if we ended up homeless, and told us to leave without returning the money we'd already paid. Avoid at all costs. It's a scam.

I booked through an app, but the hotel refused to check me in because its price didn't match what they wanted to charge. It's not the guest's responsibility to decide whether the app price is right. Appalling service.

You book through the app, then get turned away at check-in because the price isn't what the accommodation wants. That's between them and the app. If they don't accept the app's price, they should close their account there. Why keep listing and accepting bookings? This is exhausting to deal with!!!
