The room is spacious and the amenities are good, but the quality keeps getting worse. The toilet with the running water smells bad, and I checked in to find a dirty towel on the floor. The freezer had a huge buildup of ice, like it hadn't been maintained at all. Breakfast was horrendous, with even less variety than before. The vegetables smelled bad, the meat wasn't cooked properly, and the fruit wasn't fresh and tasted bad. A one-star hotel serves a better packet breakfast than this.

The staff were helpful, though I felt uncomfortable seeing some of them take photos of women by the pool. The hotel also seems geared mostly toward Asian guests, and breakfast was about three-quarters Asian food. It may have been fantastic 20 years ago, but now it badly needs renovation. Water was dripping from the corridor ceiling, and barely any came out of the shower.

The restaurant was okay, but breakfast was pretty underwhelming. About three-quarters of it was Asian food, and the whole place smelled of rice. The food didn't seem aimed at Western guests. The red jam was like wallpaper paste with red coloring, and another spread looked like Vegemite but wasn't. That same spread sat there for all three days without anyone touching it. The cottages are getting old and the whole property needs renovation.

The staff were really nice and helpful, and I enjoyed the pool and breakfast. It's also not far from the Serang toll gate and shopping Centre. Check-in was very late, though they gave us a free upgrade to make up for it, which was nice. Thanks.

Being right in the middle of the city makes it easy to get around to different parts of town. This is one of the city's largest hotels, with fairly good facilities and friendly staff. It's my first choice when I visit the city.
