The caretakers are pretty nice and helpful, but the person handling WhatsApp isn’t very nice. The place gets dirty quickly because of rats and bugs, as it’s next to a rice field. The facilities aren’t well maintained, and the ceiling leaks dirty water, among other things. Looking for a review? Here you go: I strongly advise you to reconsider.

The place was clean and tidy, and close to Yogyakarta’s tourist attractions. We had a pleasant two-day stay. One thing I’d suggest is letting guests use the kitchen. We didn’t get breakfast, so at least it would’ve been nice to cook for ourselves.

The room was clean, smelled nice, and was tidy. The atmosphere was comfortable, and it’s close to town. I booked because there was an event nearby. A few things to consider: if the gate is always kept closed, a sign at the front explaining that guests should ring the bell or walk in would help. I had to ask a local resident, who told me, "Just press the bell, miss." I pressed it, but nobody answered, so I opened the gate and went in. At reception it was quiet, and I had to call out a bit before anyone responded. Maybe put a bell or something at the desk to let staff know someone is checking in or out. Guests also have to open and close the gate themselves whenever they go out. It takes a bit of effort, but it’s okay, a good workout.

I was a little disappointed by some of the rule changes. It would be nice if guests could use the kitchen, like at other homestays and guesthouses. For a two-night stay, please provide more mineral water refills than just two small bottles. It’s a small thing, but it stood out. Since this is Sharia law, can’t you check whether guests are legally married? I brought my wife and two children, but they still asked for both our ID cards and our family card. Luckily I had a photo. I could also have provided our marriage certificate and the children’s birth certificates if needed 😅. I left something behind and nobody contacted me, even though they asked for my phone number at check-in. Hmm, what’s so difficult about just sending a message? That’s all, hope this is helpful. Thank you.
