Those rice fields around Tembi were the best part of our stay. We’re college students, and the quiet setting and lovely scenery felt like a real break from city life. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was good too. We had an amazing stay and would recommend it to anyone after some local charm.

I liked the cute Japanese-style rooms, but the stay was disappointing because I couldn’t get a warm shower. It would’ve been nice to have a bottle of water too. Every other hotel I’ve stayed at has provided bottled water.

Set in the middle of working rice fields, this is a beautiful spot. The traditional feel comes through in the buildings, the interiors and exteriors, and the food.

It’s a nice place to hang out, with accommodation and a small warung (coffee shop) where you can sit and look over the rice paddies. They offer activities too, but those need at least 25 people. Since it was just the two of us, we couldn’t take part in anything.

There are rooms to rent, and the small pool is lovely with rice fields in view. It’s very quiet and peaceful. If you’re visiting just to swim and aren’t staying there, 50k rupiah gets you a meal, a drink, and a towel.
