The trek was a highlight. We saw rice fields and a waterfall, visited a vanilla farm, and got to try homemade food and drinks, plus a few other things. I’d really recommend it. The stay was pleasant too, with a nice atmosphere, good breakfast and a handy location. They helped us sort out whatever we needed, from transfers to scooter hire and laundry.

I spent two days with Jack, and I’ll remember them for a long time. We went rafting, wandered through rice fields, saw a hidden waterfall, visited Bali’s oldest and biggest temple, and learned how sarongs are made. Jack’s sister made us a delicious lunch, and he took great photos along the way. The homestay was lovely, and Jack was probably the best host I’ve ever had. I was travelling solo and felt very comfortable.

I’ve been here three times, and every visit has been just right. Jack knows all the lovely spots around sidemen, and his sister lets you try authentic balinese food. Everyone you meet during your stay makes you feel at home. Jack really is the best host.

The rooms are cozy and really nice, and the place is quiet. Cat lovers will be especially happy here. We had a great stay, and Jack, the owner, is so kind and takes care of everything. I’d recommend taking a tour with him: he shows you the local rice fields and a nearby waterfall, then you have lunch at his sister’s place. It was a lovely way to learn about balinese culture.

Jack and his family are warm, kind people, and staying with them felt like being at home. The homestay has a beautiful garden and pond, with nature all around, yet it’s still an easy walk to Sideman’s many restaurants and sights.
