The river is audible throughout the resort, which makes the setting wonderfully relaxing. We loved the clean, spacious, comfortable room, the kind and welcoming staff, the beautiful yoga shala, and having access to a natural flowing river. The restaurant looks lovely and has stunning mountain and river views, but breakfast needs work in both taste and menu selection. Too many options are basically eggs on bread in different forms, and the pancakes and French toast weren’t great. Lunch and dinner were better, especially the well-prepared seafood. We also ate at the hotel next door, Samanvaya, and found its food much better and more refined by comparison. Improving breakfast would make this a perfect stay. Thanks especially to Gede and the front desk staff, who always greeted us by name, arranged our pickup and drop-off shuttle, and made us feel at home. Tip: book direct for extra perks, including a complimentary tour and spa credits.

The luxury tent was a fantastic experience, and the thoughtful details around the resort made our visit feel special. Budi & Dewi deserve a special mention for their wonderful service, and all the staff were so kind and welcoming. Wapa di Ume Sidemen was one of our favorite stays in Bali. Surrounded by rice fields and mountains, the resort has beautiful views and a peaceful feel everywhere. We could properly slow down and switch off for a few days. We’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quieter, more relaxing side of Bali away from the crowds.

The people are what made this place stand out for me. The staff were warm, caring, and friendly all through our stay, remembering us and greeting us kindly. The food was excellent too, beautifully presented and high quality at every meal, with breakfast becoming a daily highlight. The hotel blends luxury with nature well. Its stunning grounds and surroundings create a peaceful atmosphere where it’s easy to switch off, and the details feel thoughtfully designed to suit the natural setting. A memorable stay in every way, and I can’t wait to return.

A truly exceptional stay in several ways: the service, location, food, and overall attitude were all excellent. At one of the few Bali hotels where I felt management cared about delivering a great experience and value without pushing prices too high, I was impressed. We tried both the pool room and the tent, and the room was much nicer. I’d advise against booking a tent because it’s poorly designed. I wish we’d spent the whole stay in the pool room or a regular room.
