Cordela Inn Sidoarjo

The polite staff and fairly tasty buffet dishes, with a good texture, were the best parts of my two nights here (4-6/12/2023). The price starts at 260k without breakfast, and there's a 50k deposit. There seems to be just one room type, Deluxe, with either twin or double beds. The place is small, around 16-18m², and doesn't seem to get many guests. There are cafes nearby and one mall, but the location didn't feel very strategic. The room was okay from an introvert's point of view, though rooms on the ground/first floor have no window, which isn't healthy. General amenities were complete. My duvet had a small old stain when I first arrived. It was fine for me, though some people might be picky about it.

The food was bland, and the hotel restaurant was one of the most disappointing I've tried. The room quality was decent, but the bathroom needs work. It takes some fiddling to find a comfortable shower temperature.

There are Deluxe rooms and Smart rooms for one person, so it can work for business or personal trips. For fewer than five guests, the restaurant serves an à la carte menu with six main courses, along with watermelon, papaya, pudding, and fried banana. With more than five guests, service switches to a buffet with bubur ayam, soup, rice, fried rice, sweet-and-sour fish, and more. This is how food has been served since the COVID pandemic.

There's a cool rooftop cafe for hanging out. The hotel is clean and affordable, with a nice atmosphere, good service, and a spot near downtown.
