We booked it for the listed amenities, thinking the room would be comfortable and convenient after a long trip, even though it stretched our backpacker budget. It was close to the airport, but the taxi was still expensive. The room was spacious and looked nice, though that didn’t make up for the problems. In the morning, while we were trying to rest, housekeeping knocked loudly around 7am, then came by again around 10am. Reception called at about 11am to ask if we’d check out at noon. We already knew checkout was at 12pm and just wanted to sleep peacefully until then. The air conditioner barely worked and the room was hot. There were also lots of little ants in the room and across the bed. Breakfast was included, but very basic and had no vegetarian options at all, so one of us couldn’t eat anything. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

I booked this place because it’s near terminal 2 at Juanda Airport. The rooms are spread over two floors and the hotel felt mostly empty, with only a few rooms apparently occupied. As soon as I switched on the lights, I saw several large cockroaches around the room, including on the bed, walls and furniture. It didn’t seem like the rooms were well kept, so I left right away and stayed elsewhere.

It’s near the airport, but the room was old, and the bathroom had some dirty bits and a small branch. The old air conditioner took a long time to cool the room. There was no hair dryer to borrow, which I wouldn’t expect from a 3 star hotel. Breakfast was supposed to run from around 05:30 to 9:30. We came down at 07:00, but only about 30% of the food seemed left, and they said there was no more of one item once it ran out. I think by 08.00 there might only be water left.

The room was nice, and I appreciated the staff’s attitude. Breakfast was good too. But the AC was a letdown. I changed rooms three times, and in every one it only got the room to around 28 degree celcius, basically room temperature.
