The showers made this a bad stay for me. On the top floor the pressure could be fine, then slow down or stop altogether. Once I was covered in soap for several minutes waiting for the water to come back, presumably because people on lower floors were using it. I've stayed in plenty of budget places, but none had showers this terrible. The hotel is cheap, but very dirty, with old decor, hot air conditioning and a smell that made it hard to sleep.

I chose this as a transit stop before heading to Juanda International Airport the next morning. For Rp.300K, the price was good and the facilities were okay, including warm water. Heavy rain lasted for hours while I was away, and even five hours after it stopped, the Maspion Compund where the hotel is located still had about 20 cm of floodwater outside. It didn't enter the hotel, but I can imagine getting in and out would be difficult when the area floods.

I checked in at 9pm and checked out at 9pm that same day, and only had time to finish the food I'd ordered online. Thanks for providing a place to eat. The reception deserves five stars for service, but that doesn't make up for the facilities. The room was humid, the temperature control didn't work, and the air from the AC or fan coil unit seemed moldy, perhaps because it hadn't been cleaned. Please put a hygrometer in the room to see the humidity. With respect to management, people shouldn't be given a room with mold filled air. Please review the hotel management and change your OM if he can't fix these problems. Take action before the business gets worse.

The team is super, hospitable, friendly and honest. It's a simple, clean, nice place, and whenever I'm in Surabaya I'll keep choosing this hotel. Kudos to management. The customer is king, and the staff are always the prince and princess!
