I had the same problem: Oyo rejected my booking and the price was wrong. They told me to pay more or cancel. I wasn't going to add money when I'd already paid the amount shown in the app. I canceled, lost my money, and got no refund. If the owner and app really have no agreement, end the partnership instead of making customers take the hit. That's a terrible business strategy. Is the app designed to take customers' money on purpose?

I booked and paid through Oyo at the price shown in its app, but when I arrived they refused me, saying the price was wrong, and still wouldn't accept the booking. If the price is inaccurate, it should be updated in the app. The provider made the mistake, yet we're left carrying the loss.

For my stay during the 100th anniversary of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) at the Delta Sports Hall, I went to Kusuma Wijaya. It's a boarding house in a small alley in Sidoarjo city, with around 30 rooms for daily, weekly, or monthly rent. The building still looks new and the place is reasonably comfortable. Mr. Sabar and his wife are kind and friendly. He manages the place for the owner, who lives in Bali, but his main work is construction and odd jobs, and he isn't very comfortable with technology. He told me he'd lost his phone and had no idea how to complain to or contact Oyo. I also told the owner the Oyo partnership should be closed, but the listing is still on the app. I'd avoid booking through third-party apps like Oyo. If you plan to stay, try calling or WhatsApping Mr. Sabar directly first, before making any transaction through the app. I was given his WhatsApp number: 0819-3923-8070. Hopefully we can help each other without putting anyone down. Thank you.

He's cheeky. He paid through Oyo, but they refused him because the price was cheap and asked for another 100 thousand. They said Oyo was causing them a loss and they couldn't change the price in the app. When we arrived, a man in a sarong greeted us with, "What's wrong, sir, you're using Oyo? Don't be like that, hey."
