Salina Hotel Syariah

I booked a flight and hotel together, and this property was listed as part of the Oyo hotel group. I've stayed in a few Oyo hotels, so I know each place has its own standards and they don't all look the same. Still, something felt off when my airport driver dropped me here. There was no red Oyo sign outside, and the building looked sketchy. Inside, the lobby was old and outdated, and the desk guy confirmed I was the only guest. Another worker showed me to my room, which meant walking through a huge open area that looked like a Muslim prayer space. The listing mentioned a gym, but it was one piece of exercise equipment covered in dust and cobwebs. The room was just past that space. When the worker opened the door, I was shocked and disappointed. There were two twin beds with a thin sheet, walls that looked like they hadn't been painted in years, and no desk, despite the room listing saying there would be one. The bathroom was run down and had no hot water. I wasn't going to stay. The app and website showed the standard Oyo room, bright, fresh, clean, and with a small table under the TV. No wonder I was the only guest. I'd handed reception my passport to copy, then asked to go back and take some pictures. They agreed and took me back, but I didn't get photos of the gym or prayer space because I just wanted to leave. I told them there was no way I was staying, found another hotel nearby, and said goodbye. I can't believe a place like this can advertise as an Oyo property. It's embarrassing for Oyo. I won't return. Totally disgusting and disappointing.

An affordable place to stay, and it also has a meeting room. Some of the sheets looked a little dirty, though, and the meeting room doesn't have AC yet.

It's clean and close to the city center. One of the cheapest options that still has good quality.

Peaceful and welcoming, and a good fit for my budget.
