Swiss-Belinn Airport Surabaya

A huge thank-you to Pak Candra, the Front Office Manager, for driving me to the airport. The ride felt short because we had a great mix of serious and fun conversation. That's what hospitality feels like, and I wish him all the best with his career and plans. Thanks again, Swiss-Belinn Airport Surabaya. I'll definitely come back. Fantastic stay! When I arrived on October 29, 2025, a Halloween party was underway in the lobby, and an airline crew was checking in too. It was understandably busy, but the team still handled check-in quickly and professionally. At checkout, someone who seemed to be a hospitality school trainee helped me. This hotel seems like a great place to learn real hospitality. My room was spacious and well equipped, with clear qibla direction and enough space to pray, so Muslim travelers needn't worry. I could hear a little noise from nearby karaoke places through the window, but that's not the hotel's fault, and I slept very comfortably, like a baby. The Wi-Fi worked very well, and although I'm not much of a TV person, the channels seemed fine. I didn't try room service because I was waiting for billing confirmation on a company-sponsored business trip. I understand the restaurant staff were busy that night and didn't get back to me, which was perfectly fine. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, as I'd expect from other Swiss-Belinn properties, but it covered the basics and the food tasted excellent. As a chef, I appreciated how well prepared everything was: stir-fried broccoli, fried rice, potato wedges, and French toast were all delicious. Whoever was cooking deserves a big compliment, “Apotek Tutup, Gada Obattt.” One small note: I think it would be better to serve one freshly made juice instead of three choices. I understand the mixed juice was made from packaged juice, which is totally normal for a budget hotel.

The restaurant team made our evening especially good. Ms. Lintang was professional and so kind, and she helped a lot with my wife's food allergies. We got in at 5pm and found our room ready and set up, so check-in was easy. Faizal was friendly and helpful with information and assistance. There's a free airport shuttle, but book it a day ahead to make sure there's space. SB Airport Surabaya worked well for our short stay near the airport. For the mall, SB Tunjungan may suit you better.

We booked a massage at the last minute before our early flight, and they were able to fit us in. Zara and Elsa were really kind, and the massage was so relaxing that we fell asleep. We'll book it again next time.
