I spent two months there. The location is so peaceful, and I love this place, with its jungle view and a river.

The view from the restaurant was beautiful, with a waterfall and a completely natural river landscape. We also enjoyed a free day of cycling and stone carving, which was a great way to learn more about the area. The staff helped us arrange activities, including Mount Batur Trekking and Gili's Boat Ticket. We stayed last month and loved the rooms, breakfast, service, staff, and cleanliness. There’s even a free shuttle to Ubud center. The kindness of the owners and staff made a big difference, especially after a bad experience at our previous hotel. It’s a great place to relax with family or friends. We really recommend it and will return on our next stay in the Ubud area.

We got to join ceremonies at nearby temples, with the family explaining some local Hindu traditions, dressing us in the right clothes, and helping us take part. They’re truly fantastic people. The rooms and amenities were perfect, and I’ll definitely come back. The owner is a world-class stone carver who will teach you, and also runs horseback riding, ATV, and river tubing companies that take you through this stunning land. It’s a peaceful, family-owned villa in a wonderful village, close to central Ubud but far enough away to feel like you’re experiencing a bit more of the real Bali.

The nature and the welcome made this stay special. There were personal and shared pools, a natural waterfall view, free water bottles, decent prices, and a quiet setting. The staff were very welcoming and gave personal attention. There were some drawbacks, though. The place seemed somewhat abandoned by the previous management, and it’s now being modernised step by step. In a couple of months it should be just fine. Some little things were missing, like a proper restaurant menu. There were ants and mosquitoes, which are typical in the jungle, but there are ways to protect yourself. Staff walked along the riverside, which is both a downside and an upside of the hotel’s layout. Towels weren’t changed regularly, though the trash bin was cleaned and the bed sheets were changed regularly. In general, it’s a lovely place for anyone wanting to stay close to nature. I strongly recommend it and will definitely come again. Special thanks to the owner Made!

The host was the nicest person we’ve ever met, and there was plenty to enjoy: cozy beds, clean and beautiful rooms, tasty breakfasts, a free bike ride through the rice fields, and even a stone carving lesson. We stayed in Villa 2, and the other villa and bungalows looked very nice too. It’s a spacious, comfortable, quiet place in the jungle, with a wonderful view of your own waterfall and the river. A lovely bit of peaceful nature away from noisy, crowded places. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back.
