The advertised “private beach” was a big letdown. It was tiny, dirty, crowded with boats, and not somewhere we could swim or relax. The room issues were disappointing too. Our first room’s AC didn’t work at all, even after an hour, and it stayed hot and uncomfortable. The bathroom smelled bad. We complained and had to wait again to see if the AC would start working, but it didn’t. They moved us to a room one floor below. It was very dark and musty, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, with spider webs everywhere. It was difficult to communicate because the staff spoke very little English. When we said we wanted to check out because of the problems, they didn’t give us clear communication or support. We felt very uncomfortable at Lovina Beach House and can’t recommend staying here.
