The staff were pleasant, nice, and helpful, and the restaurant looked good with great prices. But the family room had been double booked and the Aircon didn’t work. It was dank and mouldy, hotter inside than outside. They gave me a fan, but I still sat out in the cooler night air with the mosquitos, on the day bed in the foyer. Wires were hanging out of the pool lights, and tiles were missing from the pool stairs. The manager and owner need to get the maintenance sorted. The place looks like it was amazing and could easily be again. I wish them well in the future.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, just ate at its restaurant, and it was a disaster. I ordered a medium-rare T-bone, but got a small, overcooked piece of meat. When I complained, the service was very bad. My advice is never to order steak there. It felt like a scam.

At Astina Hotel, Tiki Hut Diner is a 3-4 Star Restrauant and Hotel. There are super choices and pricing, with great Asian, American, Italian, and Australian food. It’s 100 meters from the sand ⛱️ and beach.

The hotel has a nice pool, with the rooms set in rows through a garden. It’s a two minute walk to the beach, though the hotel itself isn’t on the beach. They haven’t fully started operations yet, so the restaurant and bar are still closed and there’s no food service.

The location is nice, the pool is good, and the bed was comfy. But watch out for scams here and check your room price with other guests. It wasn’t very clean. Even after they changed the sheets in front of me, they were dirty, and the bathroom was worse. WiFi was weak and didn’t reach every room. Breakfast wasn’t great either: the fruit wasn’t fresh, the scrambled eggs were overcooked, and the hard boiled eggs weren’t cooked enough.
