The street vendors kept urging us to buy things at extremely high prices whenever we left the hotel. The air conditioning was as loud as a machine, and the beach was really just a place where small boats were moored. Despite the good location, it was inconvenient for us. This was the worst of the several hotels we stayed in around Bali. The room was dated, partly broken, and extremely dirty. We didn’t get any room service at all during our five days. I can’t recommend it.

The property is right on the beach and near the delicious Warung Dolphin, and the staff have done their best to keep things clean and running. They’re friendly and helpful, and I’d hate for them to lose their jobs over a poor rating. Still, it must once have been beautiful, but now it’s dilapidated and falling apart, with broken or nonworking things everywhere. The owners need to put money into restoring or even maintaining the place.

We stayed two nights in December 2014 in the one-bedroom villa, and I absolutely loved the privacy. We’d rented a car, so getting in and out was easy, though it might be an issue without one. In the morning we walked down the ledge to the beach. I stopped my daughter from going into the water because there were lots of sea urchins, and I mean LOTSSSS. Wish I knew how to make sashimi out of them ...

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel because the reservation system and the way they handle complaints are so primitive. My wife booked through Traveloka and the money had already been deducted, but when we arrived, they told us the room was fully booked. The staff suggested canceling the Traveloka booking. That was the worst solution the manager, Dwi, could offer.
