Hotel Indra Pura

For this price, don't expect too much from the standard fan room. But the deluxe air conditioned room at that fee...

The location is great, and the gardens are serene and well kept. That's about where the positives end. The rooms and staff were very poor. This may once have been a lovely classic Balinese bungalow homestay, but now it's dated and grubby, with hardly any facilities, not even a wardrobe. Our bathroom smelled bad. The toilet was still soiled, and the basin was clogged with hair from the previous occupants. The single bath towel supplied for two people was hand towel sized. Dust kept falling from the bamboo ceiling, and the bedding was worn and stained with no bed cover. The pillows smelled of mildew, so we had to wrap them in our own Sarung before we could even consider sleeping on them. At night, mosquitoes came through the uncovered ventilation. By 2am we'd had enough and had to find a 24 hour minimarket to buy repellent. The whole room depended on one electrical socket, and it worked intermittently. Seeing the dust and grime in the kitchen, I wouldn't want breakfast cooked there. At IRp140,000 a night, there was no AC, TV, or breakfast. For a little more, there are 3 OYO and several independent hotels or homestays within a 2 km radius that meet the standard I'd expect from a mid priced contemporary hotel.
