Puri Bagus Lovina Hotel

The rooms feel a little dated, from the furniture and walls to the utensils and design. Aside from that, it was great value, and I have no other complaints. The location is lovely and quiet, with a big pool and beach, ideal for relaxing. Every staff member was very friendly and helpful, and the service was impeccable. The food was great, and the spa was amazing, definitely give it a try!

Puri Bagus Lovina was a magical setting for the yoga retreat we just finished. We’re already looking forward to returning. A special thanks to the hotel manager for making everything go smoothly. The yoga hall was magnificent, with professional equipment and everything we needed to practice. The pool had stunning, panoramic ocean views, and every meal was a treat, compliments to the chef. Excursions were organized seamlessly and showed us the best of Lovina. We also loved the fabulous spa and its skilled therapists. Those were the best massages we’ve ever had. Warm hospitality, thoughtful service, and attention to every detail made this stay incredible 🙏

The view was free, and the meal and six cocktails came to $130 aud. For a beachfront spot with clear water and a spotless beach, that was fantastic. The restaurant sits around the infinity pool, and you might want to book in high season. We started with tomato soup, sweet and creamy with fresh tomato, croutons, and a generous serving. Then came very tender milk beef with real mashed potato and just-crisp cauliflower, broccoli, beans, and corn. The milk sauce was silky. Cremebrulee finished it off, crunchy on top and smooth inside, served slightly warm. My husband had creamy chicken soup, then chicken Parma with spaghetti cooked aldenta. It was a large serving. The crape suezet had a slightly toffee-like sauce and a lovely orange flavor. The espresso Martini was magnificent, and the tiramisu savory was amazing. We forgot to take photos once the food arrived, sorry! If you want lobster, they need 24 hr notice. Don’t miss out. And don’t leave Lovina without trying it.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, which I’m a little sad about. My friend and I came for the spa, and they kindly let us use the pool afterwards. I believe that’s a low season treat, so check before you go. The spa was gorgeous, with open-air cabanas for treatments, soothing water features, and lovely landscaping. My massage was fantastic, though I wish the scalp treatment had included more of a head massage. The grounds are beautiful too. The hotel backs right onto the shore, so you can hear gentle waves all around, and the villas are spaced nicely for privacy. The restaurant food wasn’t our favorite, but we didn’t try much. If I’m back in Lovina, I’ll definitely stay here for the whole trip.
