Singaraja Beach Hotel

I live in Bali and come to Singaraja often for its music and guitar shops and grocery shopping. The hotel is next to the beach with a good view, has about 140 rooms, and can handle the busy season and holidays. The price is reasonable, and the staff are excellent. Anjani is especially sweet and professional. They all work really hard, doing double shifts, and stay kind.

A good budget-friendly pick if you want a hotel by the beach with a nice view and good food. Thanks to anjani and the team for the romantic dinner with those incredible views. I'd definitely stay here again.

Fine for one night in transit, and the staff were friendly. I arrived without a booking, and the receptionist repeatedly warned me that the rooms were small and the windows didn't open. He kindly had me look at a room first, which I appreciated. If it hadn't been 18:00 and I hadn't already decided to leave town in the morning, I wouldn't have stayed after seeing it. The beach view is nice, but I don't understand building a beachfront hotel with such small windows that don't open. The place feels like a cheap university residence that's showing its age. The one-coat paint is peeling from damage and damp, with scuffs and chips everywhere. The rooms look clean at first, but the shower heads are moldy, and some marks on the walls seem to be biological material. I don't want to guess what. It needs a thorough deep clean. The bathrooms are small, one-piece plastic units. Their toilets flush loudly and for a long time, yet still don't do the job. There's little soundproofing: you hear the nearby call to prayer at 05:10, guests heading out to chase dolphins at 06:00, then people talking loudly in the corridor and slamming bedroom doors from 07:30. There's not much within walking distance besides the beach, which has a lot of litter. The hotel seems to clean its section, but the trash is piled up about 50 meters down the beach, hopefully to be collected instead of burned. Breakfast was poor too. It was passable for that one night, but I won't return. At $18 / 310k IDR it's cheap, though you can find much nicer places for the same or less in a better area. I especially wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.

The food was really yummy, the pool was perfect, and there's direct access to the beach. I had an amazing time at this hotel. My room was very clean, and the view was beautiful. The staff were so nice, especially Ayu, who was super helpful and sweet!
