The breakfast included in the price is pretty weak unless you pay extra. The sheets and towels weren't quite perfectly clean, either. Also, for rooms this spacious, the ceiling fan isn't enough, so make sure you book one with air conditioning. We'd had some bad pool experiences elsewhere and were a bit concerned, but this one was fantastic: spotless, carefully maintained, and big, with a shallow area for non-swimmers and plenty of loungers. The villa is also well placed for walking to restaurants, shops, and the beach. Each room has chairs and a table outside, and you can order meals during the day as well as breakfast.

We booked six nights because our visas were being extended for another month and we needed somewhere to stay put. It turned out to be a peaceful, relaxing place, and hardly anyone else seemed to be there when we arrived, so we had the pool and loungers to ourselves. Our room was just across the pool, with a small seating area and comfy chairs. Most mornings we had coffee and breakfast there, especially the pineapple and banana pancakes, then spent a few hours by the pool. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. We could text with questions and got quick replies. They also rented us a bike, and the room was cleaned every other day with fresh sheets and towels. We were close to the beach and the place was easy to find. We booked a sunrise dolphin trip and a photo plankton tour, but neither felt worth the money, and we regretted booking them. That's no reflection on the hotel, though. Our stay was absolutely amazing and worth it.

We stayed here for four days, and the owner, assistants, and whole team were wonderful. We spent much of our time swimming in the large pool, cleaned daily, then relaxing on the plentiful loungers in a lovely garden full of peaceful flowers and trees. Breakfast was free and great every day, with plenty of tea and coffee followed by a mixed fruit plate. During the day, the fruit shakes we chose, iced and milky, cost just 1.5 euros. There were hot and cold showers, reliable Wi-Fi, and large rooms cleaned daily. The service felt almost free compared with the price. Lovina itself is calm, and the Balinese people we met were calm and smiling. If I return, I won't consider staying anywhere else, and I strongly recommend it. Thanks for everything.

We enjoyed the spacious, air-conditioned rooms, the quiet setting, and the large pool. Villa Jaya is convenient for getting to the beach and nearby restaurants on foot. Breakfast was fine, and they also offer transport and laundry services.
