Villa Udara

Villa Udara is a lovely place to unwind in north Bali, with enough to do nearby for a few days. The main waterfalls are about 20 min from the villa. You can get a personal driver, private chef, and more staff. The beach is a 15 min walk away, or 5 min by scooter if you ask the manager to rent one. From there, you can ride along the beautiful beach road east or west of Lovina.

We arrived late in the day, tired and hungry from the drive, and my first impression was just average. I couldn’t make sense of the rooms and sealings then. But the place turned out to be awesome, and Wayan, who cooks and cleans, is a big part of why. We liked her so much. She deserves her own restaurant, that’s how good her cooking is. She’ll stay longer to cook if you want, or leave you alone if that’s what you prefer. Made can arrange almost anything, from delphine watching to getting a copy of your car key in case you drop it in the sea. Yep, I did that :)))) There are also two security guys around. I don’t know why, since the area feels super safe, but maybe they’re there to help if a gecon attacks. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious. The pool is a great size, clean, and not cold even during rainy season. We had a massage included in the deal and it was great. We booked extra massages too, since the price is good and the ladies really know what they’re doing. The kitchen has everything you need, which came in handy with two small kiddos. Our guests wrote on 13 Aug 2018: “What a fantastic place, and such a great staff team! There are three large rooms, each with its own bathroom, and a big pool. We couldn’t have asked for more from Wayan and her team. We stayed in for dinner each day, and they prepared a great breakfast with Kopi, eggs, and fresh fruit. Just tell Wayan what you like, what you don’t like, and how spicy you want it, and she and her team will take care of the rest. Even the kids loved it.”

We had such fond memories of our four nights at Villa Udara in Lovina. It was spacious, with three bedrooms, large comfortable beds, walk-in closets, and private bathrooms. The living room was big and had a TV, while the roomy kitchen had all the appliances and spices we needed to feel at home. A housekeeper came each morning to make breakfast and clean the kitchen and whole villa. If we asked, she’d also cook dinner, prepare snacks, or do the shopping. The pool was cleaned every day, and a gardener looked after the grounds. A security guard was there from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM, which made us feel secure. Whenever we had a question or concern, Dyna, the villa manager, was helpful and easy to reach. We’d wholeheartedly recommend Villa Udara to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in Bali, away from the bustle of cities and other tourists. Best wishes to the whole team!
