Koolkost near Kridasana Stadium Singkawang

The location is strategic and the staff are friendly, with the air conditioning running nonstop. It can be hard to find, though, because the map marker is a little off. It’s actually on Jl. Pelita Gang. I booked a double room that was roomy enough, but cleanliness was poor: the toilet was yellow and dirty, and the dipper and bucket were filthy. The twin room I booked didn’t look like the photo and was smaller. Its toilet was stacked on top of the other toilet, so I had to pull it out to use it, which kept the door from opening. That toilet was dirty too. Rooms should be cleaned between guests, the toilets need scrubbing, and blankets should be provided.

The only thing that worked well was the WiFi. The AC wasn’t cold, the blanket was just a bedsheet, the bathroom was unclear, the toilet couldn’t be used, and the broken tap leaked water everywhere. Service and facilities need improvement.

The room was small but nice enough, and it was bright inside, though the hallway was dim. The tiny toilet floor was still dirty, the water was yellow, and it sometimes stopped working when you moved around. There was no hot water either. Still, it was comfortable enough to sleep.

No one is on duty after 1 am, which makes checking in or out then difficult. The listed phone number also goes unanswered.
