Good place, fair price, and nice people. The dorm room was clean, and each guest gets a personal locker to keep belongings secure while sleeping or using the toilet. The men's dorm has two toilets, which is enough for eight people when full.

There’s a mini bar in the room with snacks and drinks, but those aren’t included and you have to pay. Otherwise, this is a nice budget hotel: for IDR 200k, you get a room with AC, a private toilet and shower with hot water, and breakfast.
The room itself was fairly cozy, and this is cheap lodging, but there were a few problems. The main door isn't open at all hours, one bathroom has no hook for clothes, and the thin walls let a lot of noise through. A male worker also barged into the room while I wasn't wearing my hijab. We couldn't lock the door while sleeping, and there was no power strip in the room.
The sheets were dirty, and the pillow was so flat it couldn't support your head. Hot water for the shower seemed to be a competition with guests in other rooms. Parking is very limited, so you might have to leave your car on the street.
The turtles made me sad to see, since they were in a very small tank and need more room and sunlight. The fish pond was overcrowded too. On the positive side, the guests seemed happy, and I heard the place has large generators, so even if the whole city loses power, you can still have lights and AC here. Bravo. The rooms were quite clean and neat, the AC worked well, and the washroom seemed fine. Staff mostly leave you alone, and laundry is available. The kitchen seemed usable, though the sponges needed replacing. There’s a cool hangout spot on the second floor. It could be a great place for families or friends visiting for graduation or just a visit. It’s close to UGM and Jalan Kaliurang KM 5. The road signs are large and clear, so you won’t get lost. Forget online maps, the directions from Jalan Kaliurang work perfectly: enter via the lane opposite McD Kaliurang, then follow the signs. Bike parking is a bit small but okay. I’m not sure whether there’s parking for cars.
