Cakra Kembang Hotel

I liked the old building's classic feel. Hotel Cakra Kembang is comfortable and welcoming in Yogyakarta, and the rooms are cozy, clean, well-kept, and have the essentials. The garden is lush and peaceful, and the swimming pool is clean and well maintained, nice for relaxing after exploring the city. Breakfast is always local in taste, with delicious traditional dishes that give you a chance to enjoy Yogyakarta flavors. The staff are genuinely friendly, happy to help, and offer useful local tips. The rates are reasonable for the comfort and service. One small tip if you drive: don't park directly under the mango trees, since the sap can be hard to remove from a car. It's a good mix of character, comfort, and value, and I'd happily come back on my next trip to Yogyakarta.

I had a very satisfying stay. My Superior room without breakfast cost under 200k, and there was plenty of parking. The pool was decent and deep, the rooms were spacious and clean, and there's an elevator. A canopy covers the walkway connecting the building. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow, but the staff were so friendly and nice. I'd definitely like to stay there again.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a different set of options each morning. The hotel sits on Kaliurang Street, with several restaurants only a short walk away and a small Circle K just outside. Our room was clean and tidied daily, and the pool was reasonably clean too, open for swimming from 6am to 6pm. Hot water and air conditioning worked as expected, and parking was always available. Cable TV had some international channels, though reception seemed better in some rooms than others. The weak point was the wifi: it was very slow and sometimes disconnected for no apparent reason. Hopefully that improves.

The staff were friendly and very helpful during our week-long stay, and the location is convenient. We found the food good, especially the soup, though dessert could use more variety. The pool was clean and okay. The bathroom and sink area could use some improvement. Seems like a good choice for families or solo travelers.
