We stayed for a month and had to sort out availability over Whatsapp, since they don’t offer online booking for monthly rentals. They first told us to come to d'paragon seturan 3 to book, but when we arrived all the rooms were booked. The housekeeper wasn’t friendly, maybe because we woke him up. We waited a long time for Whatsapp replies about other rooms and eventually ended up at d'paragon seturan 4. It’s called a kost, or boarding house, so it’s not really a hotel, even though it looks like one. That might explain the lack of basic hotel services. There’s spacious parking on the ground floor, and our room had a TV, refrigerator, working AC, unstable Wi-Fi, and a balcony. But there was no blanket, towel, or toiletries. There was just one power socket in the room, and the fridge cord couldn’t reach it, so we couldn’t use the fridge to keep our food cool. The bathroom had a warm shower and sink, but no ventilation or dustbin, so it always felt stuffy. The balcony view wasn’t much to look at either, since the building is next to a small landfill. Laundry was free for monthly stays, but they only took up to 2 kg a day, and it took a week to get our clothes back. I had to keep asking the housekeeper about them. The housekeepers at D'paragon seturan 4 were friendly, but cleaning the rooms wasn’t part of their job. They only cleaned outside, in the hallway. There were at least three people there, but they didn’t clean our room or fix the broken toilet. They said someone would come, but after three days no one had. When I asked to move rooms, they refused and said all the others had the same problem. One housekeeper eventually fixed the toilet out of pity. For a monthly rental, they also charge for electricity if you go over the maximum quota, though I can’t remember how much it was. It’s an okay place if you don’t mind buying your own blanket, toilet paper, and dustbin, and sometimes dealing with a toilet that doesn’t work, despite the pricey rent.

Like the other dparagon places, but this one is newer, so it still feels fresh. The price is good, and you can rent by the day or month. The location is easy to see from the road, though the driveway is narrow for two cars. The room is alright, and the monthly one is bigger. With so many hotels in jogja now, though, you can find a hotel for the same price, so it’s very competitive.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the room had a flat-screen TV, refrigerator, free Wi-Fi, and a hot shower. Very affordable, too.

Wouldn't recommend it. The room smelled bad, and the bathroom was dirty. A bad experience.
