Garuda Guest House Yogyakarta by OYO Rooms

I've lived in this boarding house for over a year, and there was never any confirmation about getting my deposit back. When I asked, they suddenly told me it had been forfeited. I asked why, and then they blocked me, claiming I was rude. Hahahahahaha, funny, because I still have the chat evidence. Communication is extremely poor. I really don't recommend staying here. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

I booked online for two days. The room was nice, with mineral water and a hot shower. One suggestion: please replace the towels. They're thin and the color looks shabby, so they're no longer suitable to use.

The room was comfortable and quite spacious, but the mess outside looked like a warehouse, and the corridor needs tidying. I wouldn't come back if it still looks that way. Inside, cleanliness also fell short. Food bits, including rice noodles, were stuck to the table by the window. The bathroom floor was slippery, and it smelled strongly of urine as soon as I walked in. I sprayed it with water and Pepsodent.

There was mineral water in the room and plenty of car parking, but the staff weren't friendly. For a boarding house costing 1.70 a month, I'd expect better facilities and service. The mattress was uneven and gave me back pain. When I asked for a replacement, they told me to check the mattress in another room instead. Why not replace it with one that's fresh and properly maintained? The sheets weren't clean when I checked in, the paint was flawed, and the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly. There was nowhere to dry clothes.
