Hotel O Asta Guesthouse

I’d seen reviews complaining just about towels and soap, and figured I could bring my own. But the cleanliness was a real disappointment. The room hadn’t been cleaned, and there were cigarette burns on the table from the previous guest. The blanket was so itchy that I don’t know when it was last washed. The water was off from the moment we arrived. They said it would be back soon, but it stayed off all night and only came on at 5 AM, then went off again at 9 AM 😂. How does a guesthouse like this not have a water tank?

I checked in at 3 p.m. and left at 8 p.m., paying a rental fee of 75,000 Rupiah. When I arrived, the guard asked whether I planned to stay overnight, and I said no. The water was off, and the guard had to confirm it before following up. The bathroom sink was a little dirty too. Parking is a bit inland, and two dogs bark a lot when guests arrive. Aside from those things, it’s worth the price.

You get facilities that match the price, so don’t expect much. The wall at the front of the room was dirty, and there were lots of cockroaches inside.

A comfortable place with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, good for a family stay or a get-together with friends. There’s a kitchen and lighting too, and the whole place feels nice.
