Affordable place.

I was scammed out of 600 thousand rupiah and wasn't refunded. Don't pay outside the application. When I first stayed here in 2021, I met the owner in person, whose name is Elbath or Ganang. Elbath, the owner, told me to transfer the money first and said he would sharelock. After I transferred it, he checked one. Then he disappeared. The owner of M Stay Guest is really evil. Be careful, and don't stay here. There's no hot water or Wi-Fi, and the owner is a fraud.

The location is good, quite close to the Merapi Jeep range, but our stay was so frustrating that we left a day early. On arrival, the guards were asleep, perhaps tired after the night shift. I woke them and directed them to the living room. They only gave us a room key, which surprised me, though I tried to assume the guard had simply forgotten something. The room seemed fairly good at first. Then we noticed a dirty dish rack, no cooking tools except gas, a dusty, itchy carpet, a bad-smelling toilet, and lots of trash, including spoons, under the mattress. We tried to stay positive since the price seemed worth it for a whole floor. We called the guard for kitchen utensils, drinking water, and Wi-Fi, but got no answer, which was already annoying. We went out and found that the kitchen items and water were only provided in the afternoon, despite our having paid when we checked in the day before. We had arrived early that morning, at 8:30 AM. The utensils we eventually got were two plastic cups, one broken rice spoon, two ladles, a rusty rice cooker, two plates, and a pan. There was no bin, and the sponge was in poor shape. They later gave us the Wi-Fi information and filled the water jug. We still tried to make things work. We dried the carpet, bought supplies like a sponge, soap, spoons, plates, glasses, and even a trash can, and brought food we could cook there. For three days we put up with the bathroom smell, swept and mopped, and rested. The day before we were due to leave, while I was out, the owner of m-stay messaged me. My friend called, and I was already annoyed to learn that the room next to ours was a BEDROOM and the kitchen was SHARED. The owner said someone might want to stay on our floor. My friends and I were shocked and upset. The owner laughed at us for hanging clothes outside to dry and leaving our things in the living room. The guard hadn't told us any of this beforehand, and the owner refused to apologize. We came back that afternoon to pack, and the owner showed up. We thought he might apologize, but instead he blamed us for our belongings, saying other guests couldn't get in. Still no apology. After he left, we were furious and left the guesthouse, even though we had a day left.
