The staff were friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi worked well. I spent one night here on a business trip, in a Premier room in the newer wing. Although the hotel itself is quite old, the room felt new, clean, roomy, and very comfortable. I also appreciated the large bathroom, with plenty of space for my skincare and toiletries, and the spacious desk was essential for getting work done.

The breakfast tasted good, but when I came down at 9 AM, much of the food was gone, including some of the more expensive dishes, which seemed limited. That was the main disappointment. The staff were attentive and sorted out a sink problem in my room quickly. I was unsure about booking through my company's travel agency, but the hotel turned out much better than I expected. It has a rustic feel and is well kept. My Premium Suite was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, fluffy pillows, a clean bathroom and strong water pressure. I also liked the luggage and shoe deck and the big wardrobe. I'd recommend staying here, especially for activities around the Yogyakarta SCBD area.

I booked a Premier Suite with a balcony, as shown in the photos, but the room I was given had no balcony. It was damaged too: the door wouldn't open properly, the bed sagged, and the room felt stuffy and unhealthy. When I raised the problems with reception, they downgraded my room and said the hotel was fully booked. The staff came across as unprofessional and laughable. This did not feel like a real four-star hotel, and I was very disappointed. I had planned to stay two nights, but left after just one and moved to a proper four-star hotel.
