I booked a standard room without a balcony at omah ambarukmo through the agoda app. They put me in room 19 on the second floor. The room itself was nice, and the owner was humble and welcoming to guests. Thanks to the staff, both the room and surroundings were clean and tidy. The AC, bed, and floor were all good. There's also a free water refill machine outside, so no need to buy bottled water. The room capacity is standard, but I'd rate it 8.5/10. A couple of things didn't work well: the shower wouldn't give me hot water in the morning, perhaps because the owner was adjusting it, and the TV wouldn't turn on when I pressed the power button. Thanks for having me for three nights. That's all from me, and I hope to visit again someday.

The staff are kind and helpful, and the Wi-Fi is fast 👏🏽. Hot water is available, and the front desk is open 24 hours. There's no lift, so ask for a first or second floor room if you'd prefer. Staff can help carry heavy luggage 😊.

Ambarukmo Plaza is the closest mall, and there are food stalls nearby. The owner is friendly, parking is spacious, and the front office is open around the clock. My room was quite large and clean, with a refrigerator, and the warm water worked well. The bathroom could've been cleaner. Please check the soap and shampoo, as both were empty when I arrived. I was given just two towels, with no toothbrush or toothpaste. Thanks!

My room at Omah Ambarukmo was comfortable and clean, and the free Wi-Fi made the stay satisfying. The shower was the main issue: after turning on the hot tap, it took a while for the water to get hot, especially early in the morning. If you're looking for a budget stay in Yogyakarta, this place is a good option. It's part of Zen Rooms, and booking through the Zen Rooms app on your smartphone gives you a 20% discount on your first booking.

It's just so-so, and not very clean, but you get what you pay for. There's plenty of parking and hot water, plus lots of nearby food sellers. Kledokan portable shelter is only a few minutes away on foot.
