There are plenty of good points for a price under 100,000. The room was clean, with a comfortable mattress and pillows, and the lighting was good. Refillable water and coffee are outside, and parking is on the ground floor. Even though I checked in at 1 a.m., there was still hot water. Towels and soap are provided, though I'd bring my own. There are food stalls nearby, and each room has a shoe rack outside, which helped keep wet shoes out during the rainy season. Upstairs there's a gazebo with a view of Mount Merapi. The water problem nearly changed my mind. I was ready to give five stars after my night's stay, but when I got up at 6 a.m. to shower before checking out, no water came out. I complained more than once and waited until 9, still without water. Leaving a hotel without being able to shower was really strange. There's no parking attendant or gate guard. The gate is closed at night, but guests have to open and close it themselves when going out, so whether it gets closed again depends on them. My car or motorcycle was safe during my stay, at least. The "Oyo" sign is tucked away and unlit, so I missed it several times. The landmark is across from the BPD DIY bank.

Having a hot shower and rooftop gazebos was a real plus, and there was parking for people arriving by car. The hotel sits right on the main road, so I didn't have to work my way through narrow lanes. The room smelled a bit musty and felt stuffy when we first went in, before the AC was on. Maybe that's because PPKM (public activity restrictions) had just ended and the place was only starting to be used again.

The main problem was cleanliness: there were ants all over the floor, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and the mattress looked a bit dirty. My friend's skin broke out in itchy hives whenever she slept on it. For a low-budget trip, though, the room had quite a lot. My friend and I booked directly through oyorooms.com, paying Rp 100,000 a night for a standard twin room, or Rp 50,000 each if split between us. It came with a wardrobe, TV, AC, bathroom, 2-in-1 shampoo, towels, and a water heater. Outside were a water dispenser, coffee, tea, and sugar, plus parking for cars and motorcycles. The service was excellent. The security guard was very friendly and quick to respond to WhatsApp calls. I hope this review helps!

I liked relaxing with coffee in the rooftop gazebo and looking out at Mount Merapi. The room was a little cramped, but comfortable. Since I was going around Kaliurang, the spot worked well, midway between Yogyakarta city and Kaliurang.
