Paku Mas Yogyakarta

I keep coming back to Paku Mas, and after staying for two or three weeks at a time, it feels like a second home while I'm in Yogyakarta for work. Matur nuwun. The one thing I'd like in the Heritage double room is a small refrigerator. A cold drink would be very welcome on a longer stay. Maybe that can be arranged next time? The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and everything in the Heritage double room was excellent. Check-in took only minutes, which was great after a tiring journey. The staff were warm and helpful everywhere, from the lobby and security to housekeeping and the restaurant. Breakfast had a great mix of Asian and western choices, and the restaurant menu was varied. I had a delicious meal. Ambarukmo Plaza/mall is right across the street, though crossing it is a challenge ;-) . Once inside the Paku Mas complex, you barely notice the bustle. Grab to the city center/Malioboro takes about 10 minutes. Paku Mas is excellent!

The bed was clean and comfortable, better than what I've found at other budget hotels, and the location is handy for Ambarukmo mall and nearby food. If you're new to Jogja and want an affordable hotel with some fancy features, I'd recommend this one. I think I stayed in the VIP room, priced at 700k. It could fit 4-5 adults.

The food was so good, especially the Tempe Mendoan, which I really liked. The room and bathroom were kept clean, and the atmosphere was lovely. Everyone on staff was friendly and welcoming. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and we had a great time celebrating a birthday with them. The property is well maintained, with a clean, comfortable room that made for a relaxing stay. WiFi and breakfast met expectations and added to the comfort. I'd really recommend this hotel!
