Penginapan Prambanan TRISAN

There’s a good place to eat about 100m up the road. This is a simple place within walking distance of the main temple complex, and the friendly manager lent us her motorbike so we could visit the other temples nearby that afternoon.

The bathroom was the one drawback, since there was no sink. We had to wash our hands and brush our teeth using the shower. The room itself was small but had plenty of useful things: a wardrobe, table, chair, kettle, double bed, and four pillows. Both it and the hotel were very clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. They offered tea and a small snack each morning.

We only stayed for a few hours while waiting for a night train. I wouldn’t choose this homestay for a proper stay. The bed was a fold-out sofa with an itchy blanket, so it wasn’t comfortable. There was no sink, just a small bathroom with a toilet and a showerhead directly above it, which made basic washing inconvenient. We could hear rain and street noise through the poorly soundproofed house, making it hard to rest. Fine for a very short stop, but not longer.

I had a comfortable two-night stay here and would definitely come back someday.
