The maid was great and hospitable, but the room was bad. The air conditioner was on, yet the remote wouldn’t control it, and the room felt hotter than outside. The bed was dirty and made my skin itchy while I slept. Also, when the gatekeeper was asleep, they couldn’t get up at all.

Restaurants are within walking distance, and the room was clean and very comfortable, with a big window. I got more than I expected for what I paid. The area is good, though at night it was dark and very quiet, which could feel a little scary for a coward like me. The internet was down during my last two-night stay. Still, I had a good experience and will come back.

The price felt very affordable for the facilities and service, so it was worth it for me. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and welcoming. I’d definitely go again if I get the chance to visit Jogjakarta.

I arrived at 1 a.m. after a long, awful trip because my flight was delayed, exhausted and with my four-year-old son crying. We had a confirmed reservation for two rooms for two nights, but the rooms hadn’t been prepared or cleaned. All we could find were mattresses with no covers, dirty walls, and muddy bathrooms. The staff didn’t speak a word of English and tried to tell us they knew nothing about our reservation.

Clean and homey, and surprisingly low-priced. A good value for money and a recommended place to stay in Jogja.
