Hotel O Pondok Wisata Kaliandra Kaliurang

The neighborhood was the biggest problem for us. In the daytime it feels like paradise, but after dark scooters and motorcycles keep passing with loud engines all night, right up to the morning prayer, and we couldn’t sleep. The room is basically four walls, a bed, coffee table, armchair, and bathroom. There’s nowhere to hang clothes or put belongings, so ours ended up on the table, chair, and eventually the floor. For a bath rather than a shower, you have to undress outside, fill the tub, then scoop water over yourself. No soap, shampoo, or shower gel was provided. There wasn’t even a blanket until we asked, and then they brought two for four people across two rooms. A low price shouldn’t mean going without basic needs. Next time I’ll look for another cheap place, or pay more for decent living conditions.
