We stayed in Terrace 2, which has two bedrooms with a shared bathroom, a suitable setup for a family group. There’s also a semi-outdoor play area for kids, so the little ones have something to do and can have fun. It’s a little far from the city, but could be the best option if you want to visit both Yogyakarta and Borobodur on the same trip. I spent one night checking out the accommodation and would honestly like to stay longer next time.

We’d agreed on the price and some facilities when booking a room, but then the receptionist suddenly changed the room rate. I’m very sorry, but we were disappointed.

The morning view of Merapi was breathtaking, and the calm setting felt just right for a family break. There’s a kids’ play area with a pool, a prayer room, and even a free car wash. Breakfast was included, and the staff were helpful. This was my first stay at Swasa Living, and I was struck by the details. Our room and bathroom were both roomy, and everything was very clean, including the garden. The smart TV connected easily to our devices, the Wi-Fi stayed stable, and there was a hot and cold water dispenser for refilling bottles. They’d also provided a clean prayer mat with a Qibla marker. I took the photos on my phone without editing or professional equipment. I had a great stay at Swasa Living and would recommend it to families or solo guests.

The hotel staff even washed guests’ cars, which was a nice extra. The old food stall has unfortunately shut down, though there are places around central Sleman Regency to take the kids, including Ibarbo. It seems like a good spot for a family staycation. The room looked like the pictures, and the rate felt middle of the road, not especially cheap or expensive. Breakfast was generous, with soto lontong (rice cake soup).
