Woodpecker Pavilion

The location is handy, close to street food, hawkers, restaurants, local food, shops, a mall, and a university. The room is fairly spacious, the shower is strong, hot water and AC worked, and I had a nice view, three clean towels, and a TV with local channels. There’s no Netflix or similar. Parking fits around six cars, and motorcycles can go inside on the ground floor near the cafe or restaurant. The busy, densely built-up area is very noisy. There is an elevator, but it’s tiny, can’t fit a wheelchair, and has a 400 kg limit, about four or five people. Stairs are another way to reach the room. At check-in, I had to leave an ID card and IDR.50.000 deposit. The room needed a proper clean before a guest was allowed in. There was dust and dirt, a blocked floor drain, used tissue, a white spot on the bathroom floor, and noisy plumbing. The WiFi kept disconnecting. Please double check and clean again. Several things shown in the advertising weren’t in the room: bottled mineral water, soap and shampoo, a toothbrush, water heater, tea, coffee, sugar, and a cup. The room facilities need maintenance.

The room was pleasant for the price, though other guests had left stains and notes on the props. Some staff were friendly and others weren’t. Staff joked loudly in the hallway, which got annoying, and I saw them cleaning while smoking, even in the elevator. That’s unacceptable. At the restaurant, we couldn’t order food at 12:05 p.m. because the chef wasn’t there, and the coffee machine wasn’t ready until 10 a.m. I know it’s a budget hotel, but it needs some work. We won’t be staying here again.

The staff were friendly, thanks for the service. The room was fairly comfortable, though cleanliness and hygiene could be better. Also, the walls don’t block much sound, so be mindful of what you do in the room. The people next door might hear it, lol.

The room was compact, and the bathroom was a plus, roomy enough and clean. Still, the hotel wasn’t very quiet. The elevator was really small and smelled bad.
